XL Axiata hopes that recipients of the GDK program will utilize these resources to enhance the quality for #BeBetter education, improve access to learning materials, and digitize the teaching and learning process.

JAKARTA, JUNE 22, 2024. PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) is advancing its Quota Donation Movement (GDK) Program to support education in Indonesia with reliable internet access through router devices and XL Axiata data quotas. Entering the 7th year, the GDK program has evolved from being accessed solely through UMB to being integrated into the AXISNET application, allowing AXIS customers to effortlessly donate and enhance educational quality via high-speed internet access. The GDK feature on AXISNET has been available since June 5, 2024.

In partnership with the Lentera Membangun Bangsa Foundation, XL Axiata has relaunched the GDK program under the theme "Internet Access for Indonesia's Smart Generation." This initiative has received approval from the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, making XL Axiata the only operator with such a donation program. #ThereForIndonesia

Marwan O Baasir, Chief Corporate Affairs of XL Axiata, stated, "The Quota Donation Movement Program is an innovation by XL Axiata to benefit the Indonesian community, aligning with XL Axiata's commitment to expanding the fastest internet network to remote areas. This program provides children in various regions with better educational opportunities supported by high-speed internet access, positively impacting their education."

Through the GDK program, XL Axiata will provide access facilities, devices, and internet quotas to beneficiaries, particularly schools and educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools, schools for the disabled, and orphanages located within XL Axiata's 4G network coverage. By offering these internet access facilities, XL Axiata aims to help beneficiaries of the GDK program enhance educational quality, improve access to teaching and learning materials, and digitize the educational process in schools and other institutions.

The Quota Donation Movement (GDK) is a community empowerment initiative that inspires customers and community members to voluntarily donate their internet quotas. These donated quotas are then distributed via XL Axiata router devices to various educational institutions across Indonesia.

Below are steps to make a quota donation:

  1. Ensure you have an AXIS Simcard/E-Sim.
  2. Activate the 24-hour BRONET internet package with a minimum quota of 5 GB, available for 3, 5, 7, 15, or 30 days.
  3. Download the AXISNET application and select the 'Donate Quota' feature. Download link:https://www.axis.co.id/axisnet.
  4. Choose the beneficiary (School, Islamic Boarding School, Home for the Disabled, or Orphanage).
  5. Select the active internet package you wish to donate.
  6. Choose the quota amount you want to donate (50MB/100MB/150MB).
  7. Confirm your selection to complete the process.

The GDK program operates as follows:

  1. AXIS customers donate their internet quotas.
  2. A monthly recapitulation of donations is conducted.
  3. If the donated internet quota meets the requirements, it will be distributed via XL Axiata routers to educational institutions in need.
  4. Beneficiary institutions can use the donated internet facilities for free for 12 months.
