JAKARTA, October 3, 2024. Effective from September 27th 2024, First Media's home internet services have officially become part of XL Axiata. The integration of one of the largest cable internet service providers in Indonesia follows the merger of Link Net with XL Axiata based on the B2C business transfer agreement on May 22, 2024. Following this business merger, First Media and XL Axiata will strive to ensure that customers continue to enjoy the same services or #JadiLebihBaik, and customers will have easier access to a broader range of products, including mobile services alongside internet and/or cable TV.
Abhijit Navalekar, Director & Chief Commerce Officer – Home Service XL Axiata, stated, “Based on the B2C business transfer agreement on May 22, this transfer includes all businesses related to internet service providers (ISP), IPTV, and Pay TV, including gaming service. Thus, after the business transfer received approval at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB) of Link Net on September 23, 2024, First Media, as one of Link Net's services, officially joined the XL Axiata family.”
Abhijit added that XL Axiata's management has stated that there are currently no changes to First Media's products and services. Therefore, existing customers do not need to take any action, including re-registration. Additionally, this synergy allows First Media customers to #JadiLebihTerkoneksi in accessing more benefits from mobile services, Fixed Broadband, Fixed Mobile Convergence, and digital services aimed at delivering an exceptional customer experience (seamless experience).
As there are no changes to First Media's products and services, customers need not worry about their subscription contracts with upfront payments or previously received package promotions. Customers can continue to enjoy First Media package promotions according to their prior subscription contracts, with no changes during the contract period. Similarly, content services such as TV, streaming, and FMX will still be available according to the customer's subscription package. There are also no changes to First Rewards membership, allowing customers to continue enjoying membership benefits through the My FirstMedia app.
There will also be no changes to payment outlets and billing methods for First Media subscriptions. Even after joining XL Axiata, First Media's services will still be available to interested customers, keeping subscriptions open to the public.
Integration of various aspects of First Media's services with XL Axiata will continue gradually, including customer service. Thus, regarding First Media's customer service, it remains the same as before. First Media customers can still reach out through the call center at 1500-595, email [email protected], X @FirstMediaCares, and the My FirstMedia mobile app for assistance.
For customers seeking information about First Media services, initially, only a few XL Centers will provide this service: XLC Axiata Tower - Jakarta, XLC Malang, XLC Diponegoro – Medan, XLC Martadinata – Bandung, and XLC Pemuda – Surabaya.
Gradually, information about First Media services will expand across various XL Axiata channels, including all XL Centers, the XL Axiata website, and the myXL app. Existing information channels at First Media will still be accessible, namely www.firstmedia.com and the My FirstMedia app.
