Purwokerto, 11 August 2023. PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata), through XL Axiata Business Solutions (XLABS), again partnered with a university. This time, the university partner is Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED), Purwokerto. Through this partnership, both parties will create a digital learning ecosystem and smart campus solutions, specifically at the Faculty of Medicine. The signing of this cooperation agreement was carried out by XL Axiata's Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Feby Sallyanto, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Dr. M. Mukhlis Rudi Prihatno, in Purwokerto on Wednesday (9/8).
Feby Sallyanto said, "The company sees that the ecosystem that drives digitalization needs to be supported to accelerate, including through the education sector. Not only by supporting but also by providing the tools. These students need to be familiarized with a learning ecosystem that can encourage the improvement of their capabilities later. They need to be prepared to become quality human resources and be able to compete even in the global world.
Furthermore, Feby explained that the aspect of digital talent or human resources is the most fundamental pillar in building a digital ecosystem. This partnership is expected to encourage students to be more motivated to develop themselves in line with the competencies and skills needed for a digital-based future.
Meanwhile, Dr. M. Mukhlis Rudi Prihatno explained, "We from the Faculty of Medicine of UNSOED welcome this collaboration. We hope this collaboration can improve the quality of the learning process, especially those based on information technology. Hopefully, students can access information more easily, of course, to improve the qualifications and competencies they must have as future medical personnel."
Through this partnership, XLABS develops and updates several technologies that have been used at UNSOED before. This partnership will last for the next five years with several services, including Learning Management System Solutions, equipped with tablets, data packages, and infrastructure.
XL Axiata Business Solutions will also provide a link internet connection equipped with firewall and bandwidth management to increase security in supporting the digital learning development process at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. The scope of this collaboration includes, among others, education, research, community service, and of course, the independent learning program "Kampus Merdeka".
In addition, for the development of IoT-based digital solutions, through X-Camp, XLABS has collaborated with several campuses to provide solutions for various industries such as agriculture, logistics, and smart buildings.
X-Camp is an innovation center built by XL Axiata to accelerate the development of the Internet of Things ecosystem in Indonesia. Through X-Camp, IoT players such as start-ups, developers, students, and technology creators can develop their products through testbed facilities, product development, business incubation, financing, and networking programs.
