Gianyar, 26 August 2022. PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) again held teaching and social sharing activities as part of the "XL Axiata Baik" program. Teaching activities and sharing knowledge about the digital world are carried out by a number of employees in schools by providing education on the use of internet and digital facilities. In addition, XL Axiata also distributed cash funds to the Orphanage, as well as inviting the children who lived in the orphanage to enjoy the performances at the Bali Safari & Marine Park Gianyar Bali.
Also attending this event were the President Director & CEO of XL Axiata, Dian Siswarini, Director & Chief Strategic Transformation and IT Officer, Yessie D. Yosetya, Group Head People Services & Facility Management, Ryyld Ipbtas Yusri, Group Head Corporate Communication, Tri Wahyuningsih, Group Head of XL Axiata East Region, Dodik Ariyanto, and Assistant for Government and People's Welfare, Dr. I Ketut Mudana, SH.,MBA representing the Regent of Gianyar and community leaders.
XL Axiata's President Director & CEO, Dian Siswarini, said, "We are committed to continuing to increase our contribution to the community through useful and sustainable programs, one of which is through social sharing actions that have been carried out for years through company programs, including the XL Axiata Baik Program. We hope that the efforts that we are doing really provide benefits that can be felt directly by the community and also provide inspiration for all of us not to forget to share with others in the midst of our busy daily activities. This also shows that our presence for the community is in line with our commitment that “XL Axiata Exists for Indonesia”.
In addition to providing learning about the digital world, XL Axiata also provides assistance in the form of routers, laptops, 20GB free internet packages every month for 1 year and school support facilities to five schools, namely SMK TI Global Denpasar, SMK PGRI 2 Denpasar, SMK Nusa Dua, SMP Nusa Dua and SMP Negeri 1 Ubud.
Meanwhile, the Social Foundations that received donations were Panti Dharma Jati II & the Gianyar Tourism Community in Bali.
XL Axiata symbolically handed over donations to orphanage children in the Bali Safari & Marine Park Gianyar tourist area, with the aim of being able to provide a pleasant experience for the orphans. They get the opportunity to enjoy all the show facilities at Bali Safari & Marine Park. It is seen that they are very happy to be able to enjoy a very popular tourist spot in Gianyar Regency.
Dian added that this program was implemented in different cities to help people in need. Through this program, XL Axiata employees are not only focused on the work area but can contribute more to the country. XL Axiata management also wants to create a culture of employees to care about the surrounding environment. It is hoped that social actions like this can inspire and create domino effects for other good things that are useful.
XL Axiata chose a location in the Gianyar area, which is a developing area and a tourism target, so that these children can be educated about the development of the digital world which continues to grow amid their high interaction with tourists who come from all over the world. They will be able to use good digital literacy positively, including in an effort to further introduce tourism potential in the area.
The teaching activity lasted for about two hours, inviting students to interact through materials presented on Marketing Communication, Digital Marketing and Social Media for Entrepreneurs. Employees who teach are XL Axiata employees who have expertise in their fields.
Since 2021, the XL Axiata Baik Program has been running to continue the program of sharing activities that have been carried out in previous years, various activities program have been carried out to help communities in various regions, such as the Indonesia Bangkit Vaccination Center (SVIB), donations, blood donations, employees teaching, house renovation, building roads, building mosques, procuring water depots, building bridges to donating internet access and laptops for Islamic boarding schools and public schools. It is hoped that this program can continue to be “Existing for Indonesia” by providing more goodness for the people of Indonesia.
To date, the XL Axiata network is spread across 34 provinces. Some of the networks have penetrated and served people in remote areas and are located on national borders.
