XL Axiata Wins Various Awards at the End of 2021

In the midst of tight competition in the telco industry as well as tough economic conditions due to the prolonged pandemic, awards in any category given by the public are very meaningful to XL Axiata.

Jakarta, 28 December 2021. Towards the end of 2021, PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) won various awards and public recognition from various prestigious events, both domestically and internationally. There are at least six awards in various categories that the company received during November – December 2021. XL Axiata management views every award it has won, especially those related to the company's performance, as a motivator as well as additional responsibility.   

 

Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of XL Axiata, Marwan O. Baasir said, "In the midst of very tight competition in the telecommunications industry and also quite difficult economic conditions due to the prolonged pandemic, awards in any category given by the community or institutions are very meaningful to us. All of these awards are at the same time a responsibility that we must carry out to maintain it, and even improve it to a better level.”

The six awards in question are “Best Women Empowerment Initiative with Outstanding Female Leadership” for the President Director & CEO of XL Axiata, Dian Siswarini, from the Indonesia Best Women Empowerment Awards 2021 'Redefining the Defined', organized by HerStory Indonesia and Warta Ekonomi as an appreciation for companies that have supported gender equality and women's empowerment.

Marketeer of The Year 2021 Award – Telecom Services Sector, Industry Marketing Champion 2021 at the Annual MarkPlus Conference 2021, given to the President Director & CEO of XL Axiata, Dian Siswarini by MarkPlus Inc. in collaboration with Marketeers magazine and the Indonesia Marketing Association (IMA). This award is given for exemplary marketing spirit and can make a big impact both on their company's business performance and on society at large.

 

The next award, “The Most Popular Leader in Social Media 2021” Sub Category of Private Corporate Leader given to the President Director & CEO of XL Axiata, Dian Siswarini XL Axiata in the 7th Jamboree of PR INDONESIA (JAMPIRO) Awards event organized by PR INDONESIA. PR INDONESIA gives awards to every leader who has succeeded in realizing the positive reputation of the ministry/institution/local government/corporate/organization in the eyes of the public, especially netizens.

 

Furthermore, “As One of The Winners of The CIO75 ASEAN Awards 2021” for the Director & Chief Strategic Transformation & Information Officer of XL Axiata, Yessie D. Yosetya from the CIO75: ASEAN's top 75 CIOs event, organized by IDG. This award was given to Yessie who was considered as one of the leaders who had succeeded in innovating over the last two years by utilizing existing technology to assist the organization in achieving the goals and targets that have been set. Yessy is one of 75 senior executives in technology companies with more than 20 industrial sectors represented by eight countries in Southeast Asia, namely, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Myanmar.

 

Then, "Most Innovative IoT Product in Health Care" at the Selular Editor's Choice 2021 event, given by the telecommunication media Selular and announced on the selular web. This victory was achieved for XL Axiata Business Solutions' innovation in providing an integrated ecosystem through the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) 'Wearable Device' solution to measure a person's fitness condition.

 

Finally, the “Obsession Awards 2021” for the Best Companies category was organized by Obsession Media Group (OMG) on Friday (17/12). This award was given to XL Axiata by assessing the company's overall achievements and accomplishments, not only on profit growth in the midst of an economic slowdown, but also based on innovation to the company's role in helping the government to break the chain of covid-19 spread and national economic recovery. 

 

According to Marwan, every award won by XL Axiata is also an encouragement to continue to provide the best service for subscribers and the wider community. Improving service quality and maintaining the company's reputation must continue to be carried out so that subscribers and the public are more confident and comfortable in using XL Axiata services.
