PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) continues to support the government's vision of accelerating national development through equitable distribution of telecommunication and data network infrastructure throughout Indonesia. Especially in Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) Province, in the past year, XL Axiata has intensively built 4G networks, including around 98 4G BTS, to remote rural areas that were previously unreachable. Of the total districts in the province, 54% of them or 94 districts, with a total of about 1,085 villages have been served by the 4G network.

Dodik added that building a network in the Sulawesi area is not easy. Apart from being geographically difficult, it is also not easy to penetrate the market in business and gain the trust of the people in this region. However, according to him, XL Axiata never gives up. There are various ways to be able to participate in providing telecommunications and data services in this region. Network development that requires large costs is a long-term investment, both business and social.
To improve network quality, XL Axiata also continues to perform network fiberization. Technically, fiberization aims to increase capacity, so that customer convenience will also increase. Until now, fiberization in Central Sulawesi has become 23% of the total BTS in the area. The XL Axiata network in Central Sulawesi utilizes satellite and fiber optic cable networks. Currently, the XL Axiata network for the Central Sulawesi area is supported by around 950 BTS, including around 500 4G BTS. Throughout Central Sulawesi, XL Axiata has the most 4G BTS in Palu City Regency with a total of 75 units, followed by Parigi Moutong Regency, around 57 units, and Sigi Regency with around 43 units.
Especially in Banggai Regency, in the last two years, XL Axiata has built around 44 4G BTS, so that the total 4G BTS are around 44 units. The existence of the new 4G network in Banggai Regency in Central Sulawesi is also an implementation of XL Axiata's commitment to contribute to the increase of digital literacy for the people who live in remote areas.
