Jakarta, 16 Juni 2021. PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) gradually continues to vaccinate its employees. Now, through the Gotong Royong (Mutual Action) Vaccine Program allocated by the government for business actors, XL Axiata administers vaccines to a number of employees, their families, and employees of partner companies with an allocation of 500 doses. The Gotong Royong Vaccine Program was carried out on Wednesday (16/6) and was attended by the management of XL Axiata, including the President Director & CEO of XL Axiata, Dian Siswarini, Director & Chief Technology Officer, I Gede Darmayusa, and Director & Chief Commerce Officer of XL Axiata, David Arcelus Oses, located at the XL Axiata Tower office, Jakarta.
XL Axiata President Director & CEO Dian Siswarini said, “The implementation of the Gotong Royong Vaccination Program represents our company’s commitment and responsibility in providing optimal services, as well as to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all of our employees, families, partners and customers from the impact of the pandemic. We will carry out this program in stages, considering the limited availability of vaccines, as well as the location of our employees spread throughout Indonesia. However, we will aim to ensure that all employees and their families are vaccinated within the near future.”
Dian hopes that the vaccinations provided to employees and their families will also improve the safety and wellbeing of employees while working to serve the community, including when working from home. According to Dian, even though vaccinations have been administered to employees, the company’s management will not necessarily require them to immediately work from the office. Policies regarding working from the office will continue to refer to local government regulations.
XL Axiata will also provide the Gotong Royong Vaccine facilities to several employees of partner companies who are currently working intensively within XL Axiata’s work environment. Vaccinations need to be carried out to ensure that all parties who are in close contact with employees are in good health and are protected from the Covid-19 virus.
In addition to the Gotong Royong Vaccine Program, the majority of XL Axiata employees have also received Covid-19 vaccinations through the Government Vaccination Program with the support of the Ministry of Health and the local government. In total, around 75% of XL Axiata employees have received vaccinations, and going forward, XL Axiata is committed to continue providing vaccines for employees and their families in accordance with the processes determined by the government.
“XL Axiata continues to support the national vaccination acceleration program for the community and also for our employees, because the telecommunications industry is considered one of the essential sectors that are allowed to keep operating during the pandemic in order to continue serving the community. We hope that the implementation of comprehensive vaccinations within XL Axiata will also help accelerate efforts to recover the economy that has been affected by the pandemic,” Dian continued.
To continue supporting the government in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic, XL Axiata continues to carry out a series of programs as a form of support for the community, including by holding the Sentra Vaksinasi Indonesia Bangkit (Rising Indonesia Vaccination Center) program for the elderly and the community at RSUI Depok, as well as the convalescent plasma donor program, among other CSR programs that continue to run throughout the pandemic.
