Padang, 2 November 2022. Through the XL Axiata Future Leaders (XLFL) program, PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) provided a briefing to graduates of Andalas University (Unand) of Padang. This briefing was mainly related to the primary needs to be prepared by graduates who will enter the world of work after graduation. The event held at the Convention Hall, Andalas University, Padang, Wednesday (2/11), was attended by around 1,200 students from various faculties and departments.
Group Head of XL Axiata for West Region, Desy Sari Dewi, said, "Through the XLFL program, XL Axiata strives to directly advance Indonesian students by sharing the knowledge they need most to start entering the workforce with sufficient provisions. Not only so that they can get the coveted job, but more than that, we hope they can build a career and become leaders in the future. We hope that in the future, there will be UNAND alumni who are successful and become leaders who make us proud."
Desy added that XL Axiata highly appreciated UNAND for allowing XL Axiata to provide this briefing through the XLFL program. Some UNAND students are also participants or have received XLFL program scholarships. There are at least 30 UNAND students who participate in the XLFL program.
According to her, the material presented in this briefing is more practical and can be directly applied by students after graduating from college. The materials presented in the briefing have also been successfully applied by thousands of students in various universities in Indonesia. They have successfully pursued careers in many institutions, including government agencies and large companies, at home and abroad.
The briefing material in question is a CV-making workshop and tricks for facing interviews, especially for students who are about to graduate and are looking for jobs. This briefing is advantageous for students about to graduate to prepare them for applying for various jobs.
XLFL is a program that has been held since 2012 as a form of XL Axiata's ongoing commitment to the nation. The goal is to build the competence and competitiveness of Indonesia's young generation through non-technical skills development.
Through the XLFL program, participants gain useful knowledge to help adapt to the various changes that occur. Furthermore, one of the XLFL programs is to sharpen leadership skills needed by participants preparing to enter the professional world.
Indonesian students can access the XLFL education program through the elearn.id platform for free. Various soft skills improvement materials are available on this platform, which can increase students' knowledge and skills that are beneficial for self-development. These materials are not widely taught on campus or in formal education. Through this platform, students can get various courses on leadership, soft skills, and career preparation.
