The holy month of Ramadan that Muslims always look forward to every year is now upon us. However, the atmosphere of Ramadan this year will clearly be different from previous years. According to the government's call, this time people must stay at home, including Muslims in carrying out worship or prayers which also includes during the holy month of Ramadan. Likewise, with Eid Mubarak, where the government has set a ban on people heading back to their hometowns as the traditions have showed. All of the developments and updates on this situation have become our concern as well, including the forming of our Ramadan program which is an annual agenda in the form of attractive service packages that can be utilized by all XL Axiata customers, both XL and AXIS prepaid, XL Priority (XL Prioritas) post-paid, as well as XL Home.
Assuming customers and the community will remain at home as part of the efforts in preventing a bigger outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, every product we launch through the Ramadan Program now will also seek to accommodate the needs of worship and work activities as well as learning from home. This is a challenge for us, because it also means having to ensure adequate network quality across all areas and customers’ locations. If in the previous years we have prepared a special network of Ramadan and Lebaran, which was also an effort to anticipate the movement of customers related to returning home and those on vacation, this time we will focus more on within residential areas. Our (XL Axiata) network capacity which we have increased to 2x (twice) fold, hopefully we will be able provide a guarantee of comfort for all customers in various areas.
As a telecommunications and data service provider, which is included in the list of business sectors that can still operate during the Covid-19 pandemic prevention period, XL Axiata now has a big responsibility. The need for telecommunications and internet services are increasing due to the fact that people still need to remain at home. Nevertheless, for us at XL Axiata, we cannot just see it as a momentum for business to gain profits. We prefer to increase our contribution towards the people, nation and beloved country of Indonesia in dealing with this difficult situation, both through service and product innovation, the provision of special networks, and donations to the parties that are a part of the efforts in handling this pandemic.
