Jakarta, 22 June 2021. PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata), through the XL Axiata Future Leaders (XLFL) Program in collaboration with the Anak Bangsa Bisa Foundation (YABB) is currently holding a skills training program for youth and young people. The training program with the theme #GenerasiGigih or #PersistentGeneration is attended by 1,000 participants from various regions. In this strategic partnership, XLFL will be the official learning partner for six months since May 24, 2021.
XL Axiata’s Group Head of Corporate Communication, Tri Wahyuningsih, said, “We are very pleased to be able to establish a partnership with YABB as we share the same vision and mission, which is to prepare the younger generation with soft skills and training to be able to compete in the global industry. This partnership will also be one way for us to impart knowledge and skills as well as experience, so that XLFL can share this information and expertise more widely with young Indonesians.”
XLFL will facilitate the learning of soft skills through workshops, mentorships, and online courses on elearn.id. Training materials will consist of topics on Social Intelligence, Building Personal Impact, and Early Career Preparation (CV, Interview).
Training will take place online through 6 separate meetings, 2 hours each, over the span of six days. Training participants will consist of Diploma or S1 (Bachelor’s Degree) April 2021 graduates majoring in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or other equivalent majors, Diploma students in semester 6 of D3/D4 or semester 8 of S1 as of April 2021 majoring in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or other equivalent majors, and/or Vocational High School (SMK) graduates who are not registered as college students until December 2021. YABB itself will also invite speakers to discuss careers, technology, culture and even social innovation during the XLFL workshop sessions.
The #GenerasiGigih program is designed as a solution for young Indonesian tech talents to keep up with the fast-growing technology industry, equipped with the right competencies and mindset. This program is focused on students majoring in technology as well as vocational high school graduates in order to increase their readiness to work in the technology industry after receiving six months of training. The program consists of three different levels. Participants who demonstrate high persistency will be selected to continue their journey to the next level. YABB will provide opportunities for several participating students and XLFL alumni to be a part of the #GenerasiGigih program at the beginner level.
YABB is a non-profit organization that was founded by Gojek during the Covid-19 pandemic that is committed to helping the community to rebuild stronger and better than ever.
