1. What is VOLTE?

VOLTE stands for “Voice Over LTE. It's voice calls over a 4G LTE network, which allows customer to call with better voice quality while browsing the internet at the same time.

2. What are the benefits of VOLTE?

  1. With VOLTE, you will able to do video streaming, gaming, and internet browsing, while calling at the same time. When we receive and make calls, the connection will remain in 4G network so that streaming, gaming and browsing activity will not be interrupted.
  2. Customer able to call with better voice call quality, voice calls are easier to hear between person to person.
  3. VOLTE can connect calls up to twice as fast as the current methods. It only needs 1-2 seconds to connect calls, whereas regular voice calls need 5-6 seconds.

3. Who can enjoy VOLTE?

VoLTE service can be enjoyed by prepaid (XL & AXIS) and postpaid (XL Prioritas) subscribers who meet the following criteria:

  1. 4G LTE SIM Card User.
  2. Smartphone that supports XL VoLTE.
  3. Within the Area that is covered by XL VoLTE service.

4. Do I need to register to enjoy VOLTE?

You do not need to register or activate any packet to enjoy VOLTE. If you already meet above criteria, make sure you use the latest software version in you smartphone and you can and you are good to go.

5. How much does a VOLTE call cost?

There are no additional cost to enjoy VOLTE. You will use the regular voice tariff or the existing allowance on your voice call packet.

6. Will VOLTE consume data?

For now, VOLTE can only be used in XL Axiata VOLTE coverage area. Roaming will apply regular voice call.

7. Can I use VOLTE outside of Indonesia (roaming)?

Can not. For now, XL Axiata VOLTE can only be used in XL Axiata coverage area. Roaming will apply regular/package voice call.
