XL Axiata is now leading its implementation in the telecommunications industry. During the biometric prepaid card registration process, XL Axiata customers will be required to scan their face using designated devices. This facial recognition technology enables more precise identity verification, streamlining the prepaid card registration process. It also adheres to industry Know Your Customer (KYC) protocols to ensure the accuracy of data and reduce the risk of fraud or identity theft. This service innovation also complies with government regulations on prepaid number registration, aiming to enhance security and prevent the misuse of telecommunication services.
