He expressed hope that this partnership will continue to generate lasting positive impacts for Bantul and Indonesia.

The Female Future Leader program focuses on developing leadership skills, boosting self-confidence, and expanding access to strategic opportunities across various sectors. It also aims to provide insights and strategies for building female leadership, inspiring students across Indonesia to pursue and develop their leadership potential, while establishing a networking platform for professionals and future female leaders under the #AdaUntukIndonesia initiative.

Additionally, this program serves as a platform for UMY students to access a series of free leadership training sessions from Sisternet. It also offers go-to-market opportunities for local women-owned SMEs, featuring products created by residents of the Women’s Penitentiary Class IIB Yogyakarta. Furthermore, the program aims to develop participants' leadership qualities, enhance their professional skills, motivate them, and expand their professional networks. Participants will be equipped with training and workshops, mentoring, and direct practice to become #JadiLebihBaik.

At the event held at the Sportorium Building of Muhammadiyah University Yogyakarta, students were encouraged to overcome gender stereotypes and overcome barriers in their career paths. They were also guided to develop critical skills and qualifications, particularly for women aiming to start their own businesses or become future leaders. The event highlighted how the local government supports leadership skills development among female students, empowering them to pursue their dreams.

“This initiative aligns with XL Axiata’s commitment to empowering women in Indonesia by nurturing leadership skills, building confidence, and providing access to strategic opportunities. As part of the sustainability movement, through this roadshow, Sisternet offers a series of training and mentoring programs, including a waste management campaign in partnership with ERHA Ultimate, as well as the empowerment of women-owned MSMEs in collaboration with the Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection (Kemen PPPA),” Marwan stated.

XL Axiata believes that sustainability is a crucial aspect of leadership. Through this collaboration, the company supports both women’s empowerment and greater awareness of the importance of waste management and the advancement of women-owned MSMEs. This initiative is expected to inspire UMY female students to realize their leadership potential while creating opportunities for local women-owned MSMEs to grow their businesses and expand their markets.
