A competition for women owned SMEs in 12 locations around Indonesia, with rewards including business training and financing for business development. The Smart Capital Competition gives business capital in the amount of IDR 110,000,000 as well as access to intense business training and investment, all of which are critical for business success. Sisternet currently supports over 4,000 women-owned SMEs across Indonesia.
Over 5,000 female students attended a roadshow of Indonesian colleges in five major cities to increase awareness about leadership, entrepreneurship, and the necessity of digital literacy. This program includes seminars, interactive workshops, and panel discussions with inspirational personalities who have achieved success in a variety of disciplines.
In 2024, Sisternet's main programs will include an emphasis on leadership development and mentoring. Sisternet used this program to successfully host an online roadshow via Instagram Live, reaching 26 universities and 67,664 online participants.
This program empowers over 1,200 women inmates in correctional facilities across 10 major cities in Indonesia through skills training, psychological support, and entrepreneurship programs.
A recent initiative that offers additional internet quotas to women who actively participate in Sisternet programs, thereby facilitating access to online training materials and digital platforms.
A virtual safe space designed to provide emotional support and education for women, including discussion sessions on sensitive issues, self-awareness training, and access to professional counseling services.
Satyalencana Wira Karya
Sisternet was awarded the Satyalencana on the 79th anniversary of Post and Telecommunications Day, which honours individuals or organisations that have made significant contributions to technological development and community empowerment.
The award, given to XL Axiata employees, is especially noteworthy because one of the recipients was a woman, making XL Axiata the only company to have a female employee honoured with the Satyalancana Wira Karya by Indonesian President Joko Widodo (2014-2024). This achievement exemplifies XL Axiata's commitment and contribution to empowering women in Indonesia's business sector.
Collaboration for the Future
Sisternet expanded its program reach in 2024 by cooperating with over 40 strategic partners, including Bank OCBC, Grab Indonesia, ERHA Clinic Group, Glints Indonesia, the Ministry of PPPA, and several Indonesian universities.
Sisternet continues to innovate in program design by collaborating with strategic partners to meet the changing requirements of modern women. Sisternet wants to reach 2.5 million beneficiaries by 2025, and plans to bring additional features targeted to Indonesian women's needs, as well as establish projects focused on environmentally responsible technology development and long-term economic empowerment.
