BANDUNG, SEPTEMBER 29, 2024. During the 79th Postal and Telecommunications Service Day, themed “Digital Archipelago for a Progressive Indonesia,” President Joko Widodo of the Republic of Indonesia presented the prestigious Satyalancana Wira Karya award to individuals in the postal and telecommunications sector who have made significant contributions to the industry's development. Two employees from PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata), Chief Enterprise & Business Officer Feby Sallyanto and Sisternet Program Owner Adelia Panjaitan, were honored with this esteemed award in Bandung on Friday (27/9). XL Axiata was the only company to receive two Satyalancana awards this year.

The award ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Nezar Patria. In his address, he underscored the significance of a spirit of digital transformation across various sectors. He emphasized that the drive for progress must remain strong, particularly in accelerating the digital transformation agenda across multiple fields, while also enhancing its benefits in daily life.

Dian Siswarini, President Director & CEO of XL Axiata, remarked, "We are incredibly proud to see our two employees recognized with the Satyalancana Wira Karya Honorary Award. This achievement will inspire all our employees to keep innovating and delivering top-notch services to the public. Congratulations to the awardees, and may this be the start of many more great achievements."

XL Axiata received its first award for its active contribution to the field of communication and information technology through the development of the XCamp program, an Internet of Things (IoT) laboratory aimed at students. Through XCamp, XL Axiata provides training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing sessions that support the growth of digital businesses, contributing to the transformation of Indonesia’s digital ecosystem. This program aligns with XL Axiata’s commitment to nurturing a generation of young individuals prepared to drive technological advancement and promote the growth of the national digital economy.

Meanwhile, XL Axiata’s Sisternet program has played an active role in digital transformation through the implementation of the Sisternet app, which serves as a platform for digital education and training for women. The program includes business incubation, mentoring, skill enhancement, and communication forums featuring educators from various fields of expertise, aimed at enhancing digital literacy and empowering women.

This initiative not only raises awareness about the significance of technology in daily life but also creates opportunities for women to engage actively in the digital economy. Due to its commitment and extensive impact, Sisternet was awarded the Satyalancana during the 79th Postal and Telecommunications Service Day, a prestigious honor presented to individuals or organizations that make significant contributions to technological advancement and community empowerment.

The award received by XL Axiata employees holds added significance as one of the recipients is a woman, making XL Axiata the only company with a female employee honored with the Satyalancana Wira Karya. This achievement genuinely reflects XL Axiata's commitment to supporting women's empowerment within Indonesia's private sector.

With this Satyalancana award, XL Axiata further strengthens its position as a leading company actively engaged in the national agenda to expand access and enhance the digital ecosystem. This recognition also inspires XL Axiata to continue innovating and delivering top-notch telecommunications solutions to contribute to a more advanced and digital Indonesia.
