JAKARTA, AUGUST 12, 2024. PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) is hosting the 2024 CTPR (Converged Telecommunications Policy and Regulations) Masterclass symposium from August 12-16, 2024, at XL Axiata Tower in Jakarta. This symposium aims to improve comprehension and policymaking within the telecommunications sector throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The program features a range of panel discussions, interactive sessions, and industry tours, all crafted to deepen participants' knowledge and insights into the latest developments in converged telecommunications #JadiLebihBaik.
The CTPR Masterclass was initiated by Multimedia University (MMU), GSMA, and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). XL Axiata and Telkom University are co-hosts of the program, which is specifically designed for mid to senior-level executives in national regulatory authorities, relevant ministries, telecommunications service providers, broadcasters, and equipment manufacturers in Southeast Asia.

XL Axiata's President Director and CEO, Dian Siswarini, will be one of the panelists in a discussion titled "Towards a Resilient Future: Navigating Regulatory Challenges in ASEAN’s Converged Telecommunications Environment."
Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya, Rector of Telkom University, noted, "The CTPR Masterclass provides an intensive, week-long training that delves into various aspects of policy, regulation, challenges, and best practices within the telecommunications industry. The program emphasizes the latest global strategies in Converged Telecommunications policy and regulation."
The symposium will explore crucial topics such as regulatory challenges and collaborative solutions, emerging technologies and networks, spectrum management, the digital economy, and issues of sustainability and inclusivity. These topics were chosen for their importance in light of rapid technological progress and the need for updated regulatory frameworks to ensure the growth and sustainability of the telecommunications sector.

Mr. Julian Gorman, Head of Asia Pacific at GSMA, will open the event with a keynote speech titled “Embracing Convergence: Shaping ASEAN’s Digital Future,” exploring how AI, 5G, and cybersecurity can drive sustainable development in the region.
During the symposium, participants will have the chance to engage in panel discussions and interactive sessions with experts such as Ir. Prof. Dr. Hairul Azhar Bin Abdul Rashid, Vice President of Market Exploration, Engagement and Touchpoint (MEET) at MMU, and Dian Siswarini, CEO of XL Axiata.
