On December 11, 2024, XL Axiata achieved another milestone by winning the “Best Operator Service for Streaming” category at the Uzone Choice Award 2024. This award was based on a combination of loyal Uzone reader polls and evaluations by the editorial team.
By surpassing other major operators, XL Axiata demonstrated its reliability in providing the best streaming services, thanks to high-quality networks, consistent internet speeds, and attractive streaming-specific data packages.
XL Axiata services like XL Prioritas and AXIS streaming packages were noted for their added value to digital content enthusiasts, further solidifying XL Axiata's position as a leading operator in Indonesia's telecommunications industry.
Recognition in Sustainability: Sustainable Business Integrity 2024 by Tempo and Kehati Index by IDX
XL Axiata also received recognition in the 2024 Sustainable Business Integrity Index, compiled by Tempo Data Science and Transparency International Indonesia. This award acknowledges XL Axiata’s adherence to Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
In the assessment, XL Axiata won the Ruby category, with a total index score of 78.95. The company showed outstanding performance in three main aspects:
· Business Integrity (Anti-Corruption) Aspect: Ruby (Score: 75.00)
· Business and Human Rights Aspect: Diamond (Score: 86.67)
· Environmental Sustainability Aspect: Sapphire (Score: 71.43)
The index uses categories ranging from Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby, to Diamond, with Ruby reflecting significant achievements in sustainability and business integrity practices.
In 2024, XL Axiata initiated various concrete efforts to support sustainability. The Sisternet program empowered over 1,029,139 Indonesian women to improve their digital literacy and capacity. Meanwhile, the Gerakan Donasi Kuota reached more than 200 schools nationwide to support inclusive access to education.
In the environmental field, XL Axiata is committed to implementing good and transparent environmental management by reporting environmental aspects in the annual Sustainability Report. The company ensures that waste management, both domestic and hazardous waste, is carried out in accordance with environmental standards. In addition, XL Axiata accurately and transparently manages Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission inventories for Scope 1, 2, and 3, and optimizes water use efficiency.
In governance, XL Axiata achieved ISO 27001:2022 ISMS (latest) and ISO 27701:2019 for Privacy Information Management System (PIMS), making XL Axiata the first telecommunication company in Indonesia to have privacy certification.
In addition, XL Axiata received recognition for its commitment to sustainability. During an event held at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), XL Axiata was selected as a constituent of the ESG Sector Leaders IDX KEHATI Index for the period of December 2024 to May 2025. This acknowledgment reflects XL Axiata's dedication to implementing sustainability principles, encompassing environmental care, social responsibility, and good corporate governance (ESG).
Tempo Data Science and the KEHATI Foundation stated that the evaluations in various ESG indices and the Sustainable Business Integrity Index aim to encourage the business sector to achieve long-term sustainability.
