Kupang, 10 June 2023. The commitment of PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) through the ‘XL Axiata Peduli’ (XL Axiata Cares) Program in supporting the world of education to produce Indonesia's future leaders. With access to information via the internet and communication facilities needed in the free learning process which continues, this time, donations were given to students of SD 2 Inpres Buraen 2, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. This donation was given directly by the Head of Sales of XL Axiata for the NTT area, Boni Hendra to a student named Caesar Archangels Hendrik Meo Tnunay who is usually called Nono in Kupang, Monday (5/6).
Nono, who was born on April 2, 2015, recently won a world-class mathematics competition, the International Abacus World Competition 2022, which was organized by the International Abacus Brain Gym. He managed to beat 7,000 other participants in the world-class mathematics and abacus competition.
XL Axiata East Region Regional Group Head, Dodik Ariyanto stated, "The donation that we gave to Nono as one of the outstanding students is an appreciation and one of the ‘XL Axiata Peduli’ Program to support Government programs in the world of Education. We are very proud of young talents like Nono, despite all their limitations, they still have the enthusiasm to fight and achieve, hopefully in the future, they will become one of the future leaders in Indonesia."
Dodik added the donations we made to Nono were in the form of laptop, router devices, and a data quota of 80GB per month for 12 months which can be used to access online learning and seek positive information in cyberspace so that it can support his self-development and potential. Apart from that, with the donations we provide, we hope that Nono can also be an example for other children in his village and can share knowledge by utilizing the internet packages that have been provided so that there will be more children who are enthusiastic about learning and getting to know the internet world which has many benefits in the world of education.
Currently, XL Axiata's 4G network is available to serve customers in the city of Kupang supported by more than 300 4G BTS. Meanwhile, the entire NTT region is supported by more than 1,600 BTS, including more than 850 4G BTS. XL Axiata's 4G LTE network continues to expand, and XL Axiata continues to invest in fiber networks, transmission, backhaul, network modernization, and various other network upgrades to improve stability, network capacity, and service quality in line with the continued increase in data service traffic.
